Over the past few months Artisan Painters have been carrying out the work of repainting my property, an historic house and shop at Northcote Point known as Antiques & Angels. It has been a long and complex job during months of atrocious weather . As well as the problems of the weather they have had to fit in with the builders who were carrying out extensive maintenance at the same time. They undertook detailed and meticulous preparation of surfaces and took considerable trouble to arrive at a finish that looks terrific. We commissioned Artisan Painting & Decorating to paint the whole exterior (walls, doors, windows, roof, gutters, downpipes etc.) of our 1920′s weatherboard bungalow in October and November 2011. The existing paintwork was in a pretty bad way, especially on the north and western walls, which were cracked and peeling. Furthermore over the decades there had been a buildup of several coats of paint, in many places over previously peeled weatherboards leaving then unsightly and uneven. The Artisan team completely stripped and sanded the 1920′s part of the house, and sanded back where necessary the newer extension, and virtually renovated the windows, many of which also had been in a pretty bad state. Preparation was meticulous and then the team primed, filled, sanded and then two further coats. We were very pleased with the quality of the finish and workmanship. The team were very hard working, professional and very polite and courteous throughout.
